Nearly 14,000 euros recovered after the dismantling of a deal point in Villeurbanne

The work of the police with certain inhabitants of Villeurbanne enabled the dismantling of a point deal and the arrest of two men last week.

Alerted by residents since the end of 2022, the Villeurbanne police had been investigating a deal point for several weeks in order to determine its precise organization. On February 14 and 15, a major operation aimed at dismantling this traffic led to the arrest of two young people aged 19 and 22.

The main suspect, aged 20, was only arrested the next day, when he went himself to the police station. During the search of his home, the investigators got their hands on nearly 14,000 euros in cash, around 3 kilos of cannabis in the form of resin and grass and 45 grams of ectasys.

Placed in pre-trial detention, the two oldest suspects must be brought before a judge on March 24, the youngest, who admitted the charges against him, was released pending his judgment.
