A 17 year old young man was taken into police custody on Friday 23 July 2021 by the gendarmes of the company Toulouse-Le Mirail.
He steals a motorbike
Two days earlier, he had – with a balaclava on his head – stolen a motorbike which was in front of its owner’s home, in Pibrac (Haute-Garonne). Present on the scene, the victim will file a complaint the next day. But at the same time, she tries to find the thief on her own.
The thief tracked down on the networks
Thanks to his contacts on Pibrac and his mastery of social networks, the victim manages fairly quickly to find the identity of the man who stole his motorcycle and puts pressure on him, especially via networks like Snapchat.
His thief gives him back his property
Unmasked, and knowing that he is wanted by the gendarmes, the young thief is afraid and has no other choice but to return the motorcycle to its owner. This will not prevent the gendarmes from arresting him the next day and placing the teenager in police custody.
He will be summoned in September before the judicial protection of young people with a view to criminal compensation.
