The young entrepreneur from Bihorel (Seine-Maritime), Thomas Delaunayhas been offering services in the world of events for two years with its company Delaunay Productions and in the horse racing sector, with the Hipprodrone.tv channel. He has just added a string to his bow with the launch of a streaming platform called Delaunay +.

Society diffuses the invisible

In 2023, we began producing sports recordings, notably of ALM Évreux, Pro B basketball team, for BFM Normandie. From this moment, we identified that a certain number of event organizers, whether sporting, cultural or business, did not have the opportunity to be broadcast live or in replay on the media traditional, because entry was complicated and expensive. Or quite simply, these media are not interested.

And to specify: “The example is rugby in Rouen. In Pro D2, this sport was broadcast on Canal +. Since the team went down, nothing. For football, below the National, no system exists. So, as the technology is mature, as the majority of protagonists want to be filmed for their supporters, to have images for the club and as we control production and distribution, Delaunay + allows this. »

Delaunay Productions has completed its team with six jobs: for sport, the company broadcasts the invisible. Those which are not publicized, but for which there is a large demand from supporters who cannot always travel to meetings.

“We have two economic models that are more or less important depending on the budget that the club can devote to it. Our strong pointis that we start at zero euros, with automatic cameras that frame, focus and adjust the colorimetry, loaned year-round, up to an offer of 5,000 euros with a multi-camera control room, slow motion, drones, field cameras, etc.,” explains Thomas Delaunay.

300 registrations for one

The stream thus generated is collected from the Rouen control room of Delaunay Productions, for broadcast. And the clubs also have the possibility of having the recording. “These are devices that we can develop easily throughout France. For example, we will film ASPTT Rouen and Métropole Rouen Handball during home matches, and away matches throughout the season,” explains Thomas Delaunay.

During one of the first broadcasts, during a match between Bihorel and Dieppe, there were more than 300 registrations. Delaunay + also offers post-match interviews or summaries with good moments.

Win-win on advertising

On the remuneration side, Delaunay Productions is based on advertisements during broadcasts, “but it is also a win-win partnership, because if the clubs bring their sponsors during broadcasts, this can generate additional income for them. Ultimately, we offer an accessible service. For cultural events, it’s the same, except that it’s an environment that is not yet used to live broadcasts. It will rather be replay, except for certain concerts or festivals. We can, however, offer paid broadcasts with pay per view,” explains Thomas Delaunay.

Free for spectators

So, if we can compare this to a local DAZN (sports streaming service), Canal + or BeIN sports, there, for viewers, everything is free. Simply create an account on the Delaunay + website.

This does not exist elsewhere, neither in Normandy nor further afield. We can interest women’s sports, disabled sports, semi-pro clubs, amateurs ++ and other artists without much production. It’s a real local service: 95% of sports clubs are concerned.
