The case dates back to this weekend: in the night from Saturday to Sunday, around 2 a.m., calls for an important dispute, between several people arguing on the public highway in Boirargues, reach 17. A patrol of the municipal police of Lattes immediately goes there. When she arrives, the place is deserted. The crew leaves the scene.
Cries of a young woman
A few minutes later, a new call from a local resident informs the police that the fight is starting again. Return of the municipal police officers to Boirargues who, this time, hear a young woman screaming “No, don’t go out, the police are here”… At the same time, as they move towards the young woman, a door opens and an individual brandishing butcher’s knives rush towards them … The police ordered him to put these bladed weapons on the ground and raise his hands.
Pepper spray
At first, he complies, but, as one of the agents approaches him, he recovers one of the knives and threatens him. The policeman then uses his tear gas canister to neutralize him. He was handed over to the public security police officers of the central police station in Montpellier and placed in police custody. Aged forty years, this Lattois has already been arrested for similar facts in the recent past.
