Fatal accident near Montpellier this Wednesday morning
A tragic accident occurred early this Wednesday morning, November 29, on departmental road 5, between Pignan et Cournonterralnear Montpellier.
Around 8:15 a.m., a young 11-year-old boy, a passenger on the motorcycle driven by his father, was involved in an accident with a van on the RD 5. The details of this accident reveal that the child was ejected from the motorcycle , then tragically hit by a van.
The emergency services, made up of firefighters from SDIS 34 and Smur, quickly intervened on the scene. Despite their efforts to resuscitate the 11-year-old boy who succumbed to his injuries, marking a dramatic outcome to this traffic accident.
The accident not only cost the child’s life. Three other people were injured and transported to University of Montpellier. An investigation has been opened to establish the exact circumstances of this accident.
