The reopening of Museum of History of Daily Life of Petit-Caux, near Dieppe (Seine-Maritime) was officially announced on Tuesday, February 16, 2021.
A remote reopening, but the team wished to mark the launch of the season with a great meeting: a conference in partnership with Gauthier Sauteret, colourist of old photographs.
The conference will be broadcast in Facebook live on the museum page Saturday, February 20 at 3 p.m.
Interactive conference
During this conference, everyone will be able to discover the techniques of digitization and colorization as well as all the documentary research on the places and the period which, together, made it possible to identify an anonymous glass plate representing four soldiers on a beach and to propose its restitution in color.
As this meeting is offered live, participants will be able to ask questions.
On this occasion, the museum team prepared an exhibition on objects from the daily life of soldiers during the First World War.
