Theater in the vineyards
For this new edition, the Château Palais Cardinal welcomes in the middle of the vines a representation of the great Jean-Baptiste Poquelin, known as Molière. His play “Les Fourberies de Scapin”, a popular comedy premiered at the Palais-Royal theater in Paris on May 24, 1671, has gone through the ages without ever losing its splendor.
The story combines love and humor, through the characters ofOctave who loves Hyacinthe and Léandre, who loves Zerbinette. But Argante and Géronte, the fathers of the two young men, do not hear it that way. Fortunately, Scapin is here! Between tricks and blows of a stick, he allows love and youth to triumph.
At the price of 8 €, the performance also offers a glass of wine (or fruit juice) at the entrance. What to find the way to the theater so long forgotten, in an exotic setting. Catering and the sale of drinks are also provided on site.
