The film “Burnout at the Oven – A Baker Under Pressure” by NDR reporter Friederike Witthuhn was awarded the Rufer Media Prize.
The Rostock Chamber of Commerce and Industry opened on Tuesday Rufer Media Prize awarded. The prize is endowed with 2,000 euros and is awarded in four categories to journalists who report on economic topics. In the feature-length film category, NDR reporter Friederike Witthuhn from the Haff-Müritz-Studio Neubrandenburg was honored for her contribution “Burnout at the oven – a baker under pressure” excellent.
The winners of the text, audio and video short article categories
In the text category, Torsten Roth was honored by the “Schweriner Volkszeitung” for his article “Deep treasure ensures warm rooms”. Silke Hasselmann from “Deutschlandfunk” won in the audio category with the series “Baltic Sea vacation after the corona pandemic”. Bernd Mosebach was awarded in the video short article category for “Dispute over the LNG terminal”.
Already the second Rufer Prize for Friederike Witthuhn
In Friederike Witthuhn’s 30-minute report, she accompanies master baker Hannes Behrens, who was on the verge of burnout due to challenges such as a lack of personnel and raw materials. This is Friederike Witthuhn’s second Rufer award. In 2023 she received the media prize for the northern report “Between Beer Bread and Construction Site”.
