Lambaréné, October 18, 2023 (AGP) – As part of corporate social responsibility (CSR), the company Alpha Centaury Mining handed over, on Tuesday, in the town of Ndjolé in the province of Moyen-Ogooué (center), 1026 school kits for students in the said municipality.
The ceremony of handing over these school kits to the students of the commune of Ndjolé, in the department of Abanga-Bigne, took place in the presence of an audience of guests, including the provincial secretary general, Eryll Bertille Roponat Otewa-Mbina, representing the impeded governor. At his side, the political-administrative authorities of this locality, in particular the prefect of the Abanga-Bigne department, Rosine Loumby Mpiga.
The action taken by the company Alpha Centaury Mining, as part of the company’s social responsibility, comes, just a little, to relieve parents and students during this back-to-school period.
”We welcome this initiative from the company, because not only does it help families, but also because it gives the Gabonese people a share of its mining operations. Even if this share is small, it is the gesture that counts. We also hope that other companies, which exploit the mineral wealth of the locality, will follow suit,” said Ibouaga, a parent of a student met on site.
