Recently, Maximou has been following a specific plan, with the aim of bridging the big gap that has been created between the government and the blue KO. The “project” with the blue “tables” is an attempt to resolve any personal conflicts, as well as the briefings from the ministers to the members of the ruling party in Parliament. The results so far show that within the ND parliamentary group there is an organized and strong bloc of MPs, which does not back down and will continue to strongly criticize the government’s choices.
This was also seen in the “parliamentary briefing” of Takis Theodorikakos on Tuesday, with the Minister of Development receiving “fire” for the accuracy. In fact, Eastern Attica MP Giorgos Vlachos seems to have told the Minister of Development that “you are making a hole in the water”. The same MP, who was one of the 11 who had tabled the question about the bad loans, yesterday told Finance Minister Kostis Hatzidakis that “you are presenting a world ideally made for banks, servicers, funds. Do you know that no one can find them?’
Meetings between Mitsotakis and Charakopoulos – Stylianidis
The prime minister himself has joined the game of ferments, who last week met with Evripides Stylianidis and Maximos Harakopoulos, MPs for Rodopi and Larissa respectively. Even if the atmosphere was good in the meetings, the MPs do not seem to back down in relation to the wrong choices made by the government. All this is happening while the two former prime ministers and former presidents of New Democracy, Kostas Karamanlis and Antonis Samaras, are discrediting Kyriakos Mitsotakis and his choices with their every move. After their absence from the blue street party (4/10) for the 50 years of ND and their joint presence at the Athens chamber (14/10), comes a new blow from the Messinian politician.
New blow Samaras
Characteristically, Antonis Samaras is today in Cyprus, where he will attend a special event to award the annual “woman of the year” award. As stated in the announcement “the prize is awarded to all the women of Cyprus, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the invasion and occupation”. It is a given that the former prime minister will speak about the Cyprus issue and the actions of the Greek government regarding Greek-Turkish relations, a few weeks before the official meeting of Giorgos Gerapetritis with the Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan (8/11) which will take place in an era of “political upgrading” of the debate between the two countries.
