ND “Rusophiles” re-elected Nikolay Malinov as chairman – Parvanov’s coup failed – 2024-10-02 21:26:28

/ world today news/ At its fifth General Assembly, ND “Rusophiles” elected a new leadership for the next term of 4 years, and the previous chairman Nikolay Malinov was re-elected to the position he held until now.

The meeting was attended by 320 delegates from all over the country, guests from Russia: Alexander Vasilenko – chairman of the group for friendship with Bulgaria in the Russian Duma, doctor of historical sciences Viktor Volodikin from RISI, Alexander Fornenko from the Union of Writers in Russia, Robert Shestakov, first secretary in the embassy of the Russian Federation, Pavel Zoravlev – director of RKIC, heads of public organizations and representatives of parties in Bulgaria – Simeon Simeonov, chairman of the “Patriotic Union”, Mincho Minchev – chairman of the “Nova Zora” party, Vasil Vassilev, chairman of “Vasil Levski” association, Yuriy Aslanov, member of the IB of the National Assembly of the BSP, Stoil Tsviatkov, chairman of the “Slavic Society”, Georgi Vatsov, “Broad for Bulgaria” association, Marina Dadikozyan – chairman of the “Union of Compatriots” Federation, general Stoyan Topalov, chairman of the Union of Reserve Wars.

The vote for the election of the chairman was clear, and the election was unanimous, with no abstentions and no opposition. Thus, Nikolay Malinov headed the ND “Russophiles” for another 4 years with the votes of all 320 delegates, of which 300 were present in person, and 20 had delegated their vote to their representatives.

In his reporting speech, Nikolay Malinov drew attention to some highlights and priorities that guided him during his previous mandate, and as particularly important he highlighted the preservation and development of the mass character of the organization, which currently has 224 structures with 34,000 members.

“Association “Russophiles” does not claim a monopoly on Russophilism in Bulgaria, because according to the latest research, over 80% of Bulgarians define themselves as Russophiles,” Malinov told the assembled members. The new-old chairman also emphasized that the mass is particularly visible in the contests, where tens of thousands of children participate.

“Currently, there are 500 classrooms organized for the study of the Russian language, 280 teachers, and 11,000 children annually graduate from kindergartens with some knowledge of the Russian language.”

Nikolay Malinov singled out the activity in the field of memory, which for him is extremely important, because “these signs remain in the centuries and after us”. At the meeting, Malinov reminded that 2-3 memorial plaques are opened every month, and several monuments are opened annually.

In conclusion, Malinov asked the delegates not to forget that they are members of an NGO that is self-financing and self-organizing, and no matter how ambitious plans they have, they must be tailored to the possibilities.

“There are Christians, Muslims, members of various parties from both the government and the opposition in the ND “Rusophiles”. Our common ideal is Russophilism as a Bulgarian patriotic root,” Malinov summarized.

“From now on, our most important task is media presence – in Russia we give interviews for the biggest TV channels and newspapers, and our presence in Bulgaria is imperceptible. But here too we must look for the measure very carefully – to what extent are we a cultural-mass organization and to what extent are we a political organization, when we speak out and when we pass by. I am making maximum efforts to find the right measure,” said Malinov.

Those present, and Nikolay Malinov himself, were surprised by the medal, which was presented to him by the guest from RISI Viktor Volodikin. The medal was established and awarded by the Russian Center for Strategic Studies in very rare cases to Russian deputies and major figures of science and culture. In his congratulatory speech on this occasion, the Russian guest emphasized the outstanding merits of Nikolai Malinov, the difficult political conditions in which he works, and that “Rusophiles” is an organization created to break down the barriers that separate us.”

world today news has learned from a reliable source that a coup is being prepared in ND “Rusophili”, with the aim of ABV taking over the organization and the leadership post. The attempt was unsuccessful. The only thing the conspirators have succeeded in is getting more ABV supporters into the leadership of the movement.
