TVLast year, the BBC announced that none other than British actor Ncuti Gatwa (31), better known as Eric from ‘Sex Eductaton’, would take on the role of The Doctor for the popular series ‘Doctor Who’. The first images were released to the world on Wednesday.
Fourteen actors have preceded him, but now it is the turn of the very first Doctor of color: ‘Sex Education’ star Ncuti Gatwa takes on the role of the beloved and mysterious main character for the new season of ‘Doctor Who’. BBC broadcaster shared the very first trailer of the new season on Wednesday.

‘Doctor Who’ is a British series that follows the adventures of The Doctor. He must save the universe from dangerous creatures and can travel through time. In the story, The Doctor lives forever and therefore often takes on a new form. After the main character was already played by a woman (Jodie Whittaker), it is now Ncuti Gatwa’s turn as the first Doctor of color.
The new season of ‘Doctor Who’ will air in the UK in May. The new episodes will be available to stream via Disney+.
