NCPO Warning: Flash Floods and Water Overflowing Banks in Central, Eastern, and Southern Regions, Sept. 2023

On September 22, 2023 National Water Administration Issued Announcement No. 20/2023 on monitoring flash floods, water overflowing banks, and reservoirs at risk. – Rayong Province (Mueang Rayong District, Klaeng, Pluak Daeng, and Khao Chamao)
– Chanthaburi Province (Mueang Chanthaburi District, Makham, Tha Mai, Soi Dao, Khao Khitchakut, Laem Sing, and Khlung)
– Trat Province (Mueang Trat District, Khao Saming, Bo Rai, Koh Kood and Koh Chang)

1.2 Southern Region

– Chumphon Province (Tha Sae and Phato districts)

3. Adjust water management plans, reservoirs, and drainage dams. Flood gates, irrigation systems to manage water in accordance with the situation according to the potential of irrigation canals Each time period can be supported. Ready to expedite the drainage of flood waters as well as organize water traffic to slow down water and reduce impacts downstream. And consider storing as much water as possible for the upcoming dry season.
