Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Ajit Pawar has stated that it is not important to question the degrees of politicians, and that their achievements should be the focus. He made the comments while speaking about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s educational qualifications during a public meeting. Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had previously called for Modi to publicly share his college degrees. The issue had gone to a court, with the Gujarat High Court ruling that the Prime Minister’s Office did not need to furnish Modi’s degree certificates. The court also imposed costs of Rs 25,000 on Kejriwal for seeking details of the Prime Minister’s degree.
NCP leader Ajit Pawar defended PM Modi’s degree, saying it’s not fair to ask about it and people should focus on achievements.
