The cruise company Norwegian NCL is increasing and diversifying its cruises in Europe in a way that can have a positive effect on Israeli passengers as well. In the 2023 season, more Norwegian ships will sail in Europe than in the past, and the itineraries of some of the cruises will be longer. Altogether Norwegian offers us more European destinations than any other cruise line.
10 NCL ships will sail in European waters on 132 unique routes with 46 round trips and 86 cruises with the option to go ashore. The cruises will depart from 15 home ports, including unique destinations such as Bilbao (Spain), Tromsø (Norway), Marseille (France) and Ravenna (Italy), and will sail to 150 ports of call throughout Northern Europe, the Mediterranean and the Greek Islands.
In addition, NCL is moving to longer sailings, as 87% of its European sailings are scheduled to last 9 days or more, compared to 63% in 2019. with an average of 10.5 hours at the docking port. NCL’s shore tours will also include 6 new categories such as Beyond Blueprints, Gourmet Tours and Go Local allowing guests to discover more at each destination.
Highlights of the season in Europe include:
- Norwegian Prima’s 10-day cruise to Northern Europe from Reykjavik Island to Southampton for a perfect vacation experience. The cruise offers all the amenities of NCL’s newest ship, plus views of wild geysers, picturesque fjords along the coastlines of Iceland and Norway, as well as the vibrant atmosphere of Amsterdam.
- A 9-day Mediterranean round trip to Italy, France and Spain from Barcelona will take you to popular Mediterranean destinations such as Cannes, Rome and Ibiza. An extended overnight stay in Florence / Pisa (Liborno) that allows you to explore many historical sites in the lush landscape of Tuscany.
- On Norwegian Breakaway’s 10-day cruise to the islands of Greece and Italy, guests will enjoy three sunny countries in just one trip – Greece, Italy and Malta – and will discover everything from ancient ruins and captivating history to la dolce vita.
