For several years, Darvin Ham has often been placed but never a winner when a coaching position becomes available in the NBA. Will he be more successful in NCAA?
In fact, ESPN tells us that Texas Tech has obtained the authorization to speak with him this weekend. The university is looking for a coach after the departure of Chris Beard and the current assistant of the Bucks is a former of the house since he studied there between 1993 and 1996, defending the colors of the Red Raiders.
Assistant coach in the NBA since the 2011/2012 season, after a decent playing career, Ham passed through the benches of Los Angeles and Atlanta, then he followed Mike Budenholzer to Milwaukee. At the end of 2020, his name was circulating among the Clippers and Pacers.
Texas Tech has received permission and plans to interview Milwaukee Bucks top assistant and alumnus Darvin Ham this weekend, sources tell ESPN. Ham led Tech to its first Sweet 16 in 1996. Ham has risen into a serious head coaching candidate in NBA in last few years.
