The Boston Celtics are expected to waive guard Lonnie Walker IV, ESPN reported Saturday.

Walker, 25, agreed to a one-year deal with the Celtics in August and averaged 7.3 points with 2.5 assists in 16.4 minutes per game in four preseason games for the Celtics.

Under the terms of Walker’s deal, now that he has been fired, if he agrees to play for the team’s G League affiliate in Maine, he would be eligible for a bonus worth up to $77,500.

In 58 games last season with the Brooklyn Nets, Walker averaged 9.7 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 17.4 minutes per game.
