NBA, summary of the day: Curry stands as the king of the night with a great performance against the Bucks

In a date between the last two NBA champions, the Warriors triumphed in overtime driven by Steph Curry’s 36 points and six triples, in a duel in which the Bucks could not count on the Greek Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Warriors came back strong at home after suffering three straight losses and Curry decided with 22 of his 36 points between the fourth quarter (13) and overtime (9).

GRIZZLIES 112 – MAVERICKS 108

Without Luka Doncic, out due to a muscular problem in his left thigh, or Kyrie Irving, absent due to discomfort in his right foot, the Mavericks crashed in Memphis before 25 points from Desmond Bane and 24 from David Roddy coming off the bench. The Grizzlies extended their brilliant home record to 27-8 in their fourth game without Ja Morant, suspended after posting a video at a nightclub last week in which he was seen with a gun in one hand.

SUNS 119 – KINGS 128

Monumental triumph of the Kings in the field of the Suns, orphans of Kevin Durant, in an appointment between the third and fourth of the West, respectively. Seven Kings players finished in double figures, led by Harrison Barnes’ 19. The Californians’ bench also made a difference, contributing 65 points to the 34 for the Suns.

HAWKS 125 – CELTICS 134

Jayson Tatum signed a double double of 34 points and fifteen rebounds and Jaylen Brown contributed 24 points in the victory of the Celtics, second in the East, in the field of the Hawks. It was the second consecutive victory for Joe Mazzulla’s team, against some Hawks that were not enough for Trae Young’s 35 points.

CLIPPERS 106 – KNICKS 95

Russell Westbrook surpassed Isiah Thomas and reached the ninth position in the table of players with the most assists in the NBA, reaching, with his three against the Knicks, 9,062 in his career. The Clippers’ victory was led by Kawhi Leonard’s 38 points against some Knicks who suffered their third consecutive loss, despite Julius Randle’s 26 points, in a new game without Jalen Brunson due to a foot problem.

MAGIC 126 – HEAT 114

The Heat lost the opportunity to get closer to the sixth place of the Knicks when they fell in Orlando in overtime, after forcing the extra time with a spectacular triple on the buzzer by Jimmy Butler (38 points). Wendell Carter scored seven of his 27 points, with eleven rebounds, in an overtime dominated by the Magic (18-6).

HORNETS 111 – JAZZ 119

Talen Horton Tucker signed 37 points, eight rebounds and ten assists to lead the triumph of the Jazz, eleventh in the West (33-35), in the field of the Hornets, orphans of LaMelo Ball. For the Jazz, center Walker Kessler contributed a double double of 17 points and 16 rebounds and Finn Lauri Markkanen contributed a double double of thirteen points and thirteen rebounds.

PISTONS 115 – PACERS 121

The Pacers extended the losing streak of the Pistons, bottom team in the East, to eleven, with six players in double figures, led by Jalen Smith’s twenty points and nine rebounds coming off the bench. The Dominican Chris Duarte contributed six points and six rebounds for the Pacers, eleventh, who are fighting for a place in the ‘play-in’.

ROCKETS 111 – BULLS 119

A 32-16 run in the fourth period allowed the Bulls, with 36 points from Zach LaVine, to come back and win at the Rockets’ field to tie the Washington Wizards in the table, tenth. Billy Donovan’s team celebrated its second win in a row, after the beating inflicted on the Denver Nuggets, and is just one win away, and one game less, from the Toronto Raptors, ninth.

PELICANS 96 – THUNDER 110

Shai Gilgeous Alexander scored 35 points, without attempting triples, and led a momentous victory for the Thunder over the Pelicans, which allowed Oklahoma City to reach New Orleans in eleventh place (32-35). The Spanish Willy Hernangómez had no minutes.
