Tras the nonsense of scoring 100 points in two games in a row in the G League, Nik Stauskas has won a two-year contract with the Boston Celtics. The Canadian achieved 57 and 43 points in just 24 hours for the Grand Rapids Gold and with that he joined the Celtics with a deal that includes the remainder of this season and next.
The Celtics are thus reinforced with a compulsive scorer precisely in the best moment they are going through of the entire season. They are fifth in the East, less than five games behind the leading Heat.
Stauskas was the eighth pick in the 2014 Draft by the Sacramento Kings and in the NBA he had stops in the Philadelphia 76ers, Brooklyn Nets, Portland Trail Blazers, Cleveland Cavaliers y Miami Heat. Between his time with the Cavs and his arrival in Miami, the point guard played in the Endesa League at baskonia (2019-20).
The 28-year-old Stauskas had a 10-day deal this season with the Heat before returning to the G-League.
