The NBA released the schedule of the game three months before the start of the season. The 79th NBA regular season begins on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday (German time), October 23 at 1:30 a.m. and ends on Sunday, April 13, 2025.
A doubleheader is the starting signal for the season. In the first game, the reigning champions, the Boston Celtics, host the New York Knicks. In the second game, the Minnesota Timberwolves visit the Los Angeles Lakers.

The 2025 NBA Play-In Tournament will take place from Tuesday, April 15th to Friday, April 18th, followed by the start of the 2025 NBA Playoffs on Saturday, April 19th. Game 1 of the NBA Finals is scheduled for Thursday, June 5th
NBA: Exciting games at Christmas time
Traditionally, games in the NBA also take place on Christmas. A total of five games are scheduled: the San Antonio Spurs against the Knicks, the Timberwolves against the Dallas Mavericks, the Philadelphia 76ers against the Celtics, the Lakers against the Golden State Warriors and the Denver Nuggets are challenging the Suns out.
So far, 80 of the 82 games have been scheduled for all teams. Two positions for each team are still pending.
