Atlanta Hawks point guard Rondo region is facing a lawsuit from a woman who has accused the 34-year-old and his partner of assault in a car park in Los Angeles.
Rondo and his partner reportedly went after the woman after she parked badly and hit the player’s Rolls Royce.
TMZ first reported this information, with the woman having claimed that Rondo used some offensive language before pushing her to the ground, at which point the Hawks player’s partner proceeded to assault her.
“Bitch, why do you think you can park here?” Rondo allegedly shouted at the woman.
However, Rondo‘s attorney, Mark D. Baute, believes that the woman involved has no case.
“The case is meritless,” he said. “I have seen the videotape. Mr. Rondo was polite throughout the encounter; the claimant was not wearing a mask and was unstable and rude.
“We look forward to defending the case and winning.”
Rondo was part of the Los angeles lakers team that won the NBA championship in October 2020.
