In Game 5, the 76ers dominated Washington thanks to their shooter Seth Curry (30 pts, 10/17 on shots) and Tobias Harris (28 pts, 9 rebounds). Ben Simmons signed a triple-double (19 pts, 11 assists, 10 rebounds). Bradley Beal (32 pts, 7 rebounds) and Russell Westbrook (24 pts, 10 assists, 8 rebounds) were not enough for the Wizards. It’s Philadelphia, coached by Doc Rivers, who advance to the semifinals of the Eastern Conference. Embiid should be operational.
The Pennsylvania franchise will face Atlanta in the next round. The Hawks validated their qualification on the floor of the New York Knicks, at Madison Square Garden, thanks to an untenable Trae Young (36 pts, 9 assists).
In the West, Utah Jazz ended its series against Memphis with a 126-110 victory in Game 5 thanks to Donovan Mitchell (30 pts, 11/16 on shots, 10 assists, 6 rebounds) and Rudy Gobert (23 pts , at 10/13, 15 rebounds, 3 blocks). Dallas took the advantage against the Clippers (100-105) and now leads 3 wins to 2.
