It’s not an easy time, to put it mildly, at home Philadelphia 76ers. From the injuries of Paul George and Joel Embiid, to the fine of 100 thousand dollars imposed by the league for the declarations concerning the injury of the center of Cameroonian origin, to then arrive to the altercation between the same Joel Embiid and the journalist of Philadelphia Inquirer, Marcus Hayes.
Added to all this are the performances on the pitch of the Sixers who after 5 games slipped to penultimate place in the Eastern Conference with a record of one win and four defeats. But in the most difficult moment, Sixers fans can rejoice because tonight in the away game at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Philadelphia will be able to count on the seasonal debut of Paul George, who has been sidelined since last October 14th due to the left knee injury suffered against the Hawks in the preseason. It will also be an opportunity to see George himself wearing the number 8 on his shoulders, chosen in honor of Kobe Bryant (born right in Philadelphia).
The Palmdale native is coming off a season of 22.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 41.3% from behind the arc, which ended with him and all other Clippers in the first round at the hands of the Dallas Mavericks. After yet another elimination from the Playoffs with the Clippers, in the summer he decided not to renew his contract with the Los Angelesnians and to accept a four-year, 215 million dollar contract with the Sixers to help Joel Embiid and Tyrese Macey fight to bring the Larry O’Brien Trophy back to the State of Pennsylvania.
The Sixers are therefore preparing for a trip to the West against Phoenix Suns, Los Angeles Clippers e Los Angeles Lakers. Right now the City of Brotherly Love franchise will need their best Paul George to try and bring home a win from the Footprint Center. Certainly not the best opponent to get out of a complicated moment given that i Phoenix Suns by coach Budenholzer they sail in the top parts of the Western Conference with a record of 5-1 and are coming off four consecutive victories.
