NBA News: New York opens training facilities for professional teams

New York State allows its professional sports teams to return to training facilities. This was announced by Governor Andrew Cuomo on Sunday.

However, all activities must initially take place behind closed doors. In recent weeks, New York has suffered almost 30,000 deaths in the wake of the corona pandemic, but the numbers have recently been described as declining.

New York is a center of professional sport with two teams in the NBA (New York Knicks, Brooklyn Nets), three in the NHL (New York Rangers, New York Islanders, Buffalo Sabers), two in the MLB (New York Yankees, New York Mets) and three in the NFL (Buffalo Bills, New York Jets, New York Giants).

The Nets have announced that they will reopen their training halls for voluntary workouts for their players from Tuesday. “The organization will strictly follow the protocol of the NBA and health professionals to ensure that all precautions are taken,” said a statement from the franchise.
