Another unfortunate injury for the Los Angeles Lakers: Kendrick Nunn will have to take a break for several weeks due to a knee injury. The Guard is already the third prominent failure for the Lakers.
Head coach Frank Vogel confirmed that Nunn will be out for several weeks. The 26-year-old was found to have a bruised bone in his right knee, and he should be re-evaluated in two to three weeks.
Nunn had already missed the season opener against the Golden State Warriors, who lost 114: 121. In the training camp, the guard also suffered from an ankle injury.
In the summer, Nunn had signed a two-year contract in LA and was supposed to provide scoring and shooting as a backup behind Russell Westbrook. In his two years so far in the NBA, he put on an average of 15.0 points and 3.0 assists for the Miami Heat at 45.8 percent from the field and 36.4 percent from downtown.
The Lakers also have to do without Trevor Ariza (ankle surgery) and Talen Horton-Tucker (torn ligament in the thumb) for some time. On Saturday night against the Phoenix Suns, Wayne Ellington was also absent due to a thigh injury.
