The New York Knicks have awarded Michael Kidd-Gilchrist a one-year contract, ESPN reports.
Kidd-Gilchrist split the last campaign between Charlotte and Dallas. He had spent his first seven seasons with the Hornets.
The 27-year-old pivot averaged 2.4 points and 2.7 rebounds per game in 25 outings last year.
Second overall pick in the last draft, his career cumulative average is 8.4 points and 5.4 rebounds.
