Mercado NBA: Talen Horton-Tucker will play for the Chicago Bulls in the 2024/25 NBA season. According to Shams Charania in The Athletic, the former prospect of Los Angeles Lakers not too long ago, he wants to give himself another chance to succeed in the league, now in the Eastern Conference.
At just 23 years old, he has already spent three years as an Angeleno with a secondary role that he stayed there, although he was important in achieving the 2020 ring. His best year individually was with the Utah Jazz in 22/23, averaging 10.7 points and 3.8 assists, although with a very poor 28.6% on three-pointers. Last year he had very similar numbers, also scoring 10 points per game, improving his three-point shot somewhat to 33 percent, still very low for a player from whom more was expected.
New opportunity
We don’t know what he will earn, but surely much less than the 30 million he accumulated in his last three seasons between the Lakers and the Jazz in that contract “stolen” from the Los Angeles team when it was expected that his performance would be better than it ended up being. We will see if he is able to show his best level with the Bulls, although given what we have seen with the Chicago team in recent years it does not seem that he will land in the best place.
