NBA: Kevin Durant injured before game against Oklahoma

Kevin Durant suffered an ankle injury during the warm-up prior to the match that would mark his home debut with the Suns of Phoenix, who nevertheless crushed the Oklahoma City Thunder 132-101 on Wednesday.

Devin Booker scored 44 points and Terrence Ross added 24 for Phoenix, which has won four straight. But the comfortable victory and the good run were practically secondary notes, after Durant’s injury.

The star was supposed to have a chance to introduce himself to the home fans. A thirteen-time All-Star, Durant was acquired by the Suns in a colossal trade with Brooklyn.

There was a lot of anticipation at the Footprint Center to see him play.

However, he sprained his left ankle driving to the basket while preparing to play. The 2.08m player immediately got up and began to walk.

But several minutes later, the Suns announced that they would miss the game.

Sin Durant, the fans of Phoenix they had to settle for watching the basketing spectacle of Bookerwho contributed 30 points in the first half.

A three-time All-Star, Booker was 17-for-23 from the field, including 6-for-10 from 3-point range. The public stood up to cheer him in the fourth period, when he went to the bench for good.

Ross also made six of 10 3-pointers. Chris Paul had 18 points and nine assists, shooting 4-for-5 from long range.

Oklahoma City played without star point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander with an abdominal strain. Without him, the Thunder were dominated and the Suns pulled away in the second half.

Lindy Waters III led the Thunder with 23 points.
