NBA: Kawhi Leonard was frustrated by Nets stars and officials

Kawhi Leonard was frustrated by the Brooklyn Nets and officials on Sunday in a 112-108 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Clippers’ star player had the opportunity to level the game with 11 seconds left in the fourth quarter at 110-110. He headed for the basket, but after light contact with James Harden as he completed his stride shot, Leonard received an offensive foul from the officials.

Leonard couldn’t believe his eyes, but the decision stuck and the Nets subsequently closed the books for a sixth straight win. They join the Philadelphia 76ers atop in the East with 20 wins this season.

Deprived of Kevin Durant, the Nets were still able to bet on the duo James Harden and Kyrie Irving. The former Houston Rockets had 37 points and 11 rebounds in 40 minutes of play.

For his part, Irving ended his night with 28 points and eight assists. DeAndre Jordan amassed 13 points and 11 rebounds for Steve Nash’s men.

Individually, Leonard ended his night with 29 points and 13 rebounds. Paul George also stood out for Los Angeles with 34 points, six rebounds and seven assists.
