NBA The investigation concluded that Jontay Porter provided information to bettors, limiting his participation in games due to the bets, and also bet on NBA games and the loss of his team.
Ahead of the March 20 game, Porter has given the bookmaker an update on his health. Another bettor placed $80,000 on a combination that predicted Porter wouldn’t make the cut in some statistics.
In that particular game, Porter left the field after just a few minutes, citing illness, and didn’t hit the mark in any of the stats. A bet of 80 thousand should have brought 1.1 million, but the bet was frozen, and The NBA launched an investigation.
The 24-year-old center played 37 games in his NBA career, averaging 3.7 points and 2.6 rebounds. He previously represented the Memphis Grizzlies, but spent this season with the Toronto Raptors.
Most damaging for Porter and the NBA itself: He bet on the Raptors to lose, according to a league investigation. https://t.co/6oKyi0Fhty
