NBA All-Star Game to Feature Revolutionary LED Screen Court for Contests

Sports Editorial, Feb 5 (EFE).- The three-point contest between Sabrina Ionescu and Stephen Curry, to be held on February 17 as part of the NBA All-Stars, will be played on a court created with a gigantic LED screen that will project images and statistics, the professional basketball league announced this Monday.

The unprecedented three-point contest between the stars of the WNBA and the NBA will not be the only All-Star event that will be played on the LED screen, created by the German company ASB GlassFloor and which will be installed at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

The celebrity match, which takes place on Friday, February 16, as well as the skills contest and the dunk contest, on Saturday, February 17, will also be held on the giant screen that has an area of 756 square meters.

The NBA noted in a statement that the LED screen, which basically works like domestic flat televisions, will broadcast visual effects during each event: from different designs and colors to replays of plays, real-time statistics or interactive games during timeouts. .

In this way, the field will effectively replace the giant screens that hang from the ceiling of Lucas Oil Stadium.

It is not the first time that the ASB GlassFloor screen-court appears at a sporting event.

During the Women’s U19 World Cup held last year in Madrid (Spain), the screen court was used in several of the matches in the final phase of the championship.
