Highlights will be irrigation, climate, markets, agricultural policies
The National Association of Grain Producers (NAG) has announced its preparations for its 12th National Agricultural Seminar. It will be held on November 28 and 29, 2024 in Albena. “The Next Agricultural Revolution” will present an innovative format that will change the way the agricultural sector approaches the challenges and opportunities of the future, informed the association.
The seminar is organized with the assistance of the European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) AgroHub.BG, a leading platform for innovation and sustainable agriculture. This partnership will enable the introduction of new technologies and discussions that will pave the way for the next agro revolution.
The program includes a number of key topics, leading experts and influential figures from the Agriculture sector:
– The State and the Farmers: Together for the prosperity of the Agriculture sector – a panel discussion with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Environment and Water, who will discuss how government policies can support the sustainable development of the sector. The topic of the new CAP will also be discussed.
– Drought vs. Irrigated Agriculture: The Key to Evolution – a discussion on the future of irrigation systems in the context of global warming, with the participation of the Basin Directorate, Hydromelioration Directorate, Irrigation Systems and farmers with experience in irrigation.
– Climate challenges: How nature dictates the new rules in agriculture – lecture and discussion with leading scientists from the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH), Agricultural Academy (SSA) and farmers who will discuss how climate change affects modern agriculture.
– Markets under the microscope – market analysis and trade relations will be analyzed and discussed.
The forum will also include a number of B2B meetings, which will offer participants the opportunity to build valuable contacts and discuss business opportunities.
