(CNN Español)–The Mexican Navy reported Thursday that it seized 15 kilograms of ketamine and almost 3 kilograms of MDMA, synthetic drugs, during a baggage check at Mexico City International Airport.
The seizure, according to the agency in charge of security and surveillance at Mexico’s air and sea ports, occurred when Navy personnel were X-raying the luggage of a flight from Paris, France.
In two suitcases belonging to two Romanian citizens, “packages were found, testing positive for ketamine hydrochloride and MDMA, with an approximate weight of 8.2 kilograms of ketamine hydrochloride in the first suitcase and 6.9 kilograms of ketamine hydrochloride and 2.9 kilograms of MDMA drugs in the second suitcase,” the agency detailed in a statement.
