Changes take a lot of time, not only because it is complex, but because many people are involved, it is an essential system for customers and that often means a lot of testing, extensive planning and only then execution. The larger the company, the longer such changes take.

Security is constantly changing, so there is always a gap between necessity and implementation. Especially if far-reaching infrastructure changes are required.

And even if you have everything in order, the right admin account could become ‘compressed’, ultimately making all your security insufficient. Or just something ‘new’, at least something new in business…
