Process
After confirming the cases, the procedure of the Department of Health is launched for the management of COVID cases in school students, which includes communication from the center’s management to the families of the students who must remain in isolation, a streamlined process thanks to the immediate access of Health trackers to the data of the EDUCA platform of the Department of Education. All families are informed of the situation and are summoned by the health services to carry out the first PCR tests. If they test positive, they will be new confirmed cases. If the test is negative, the quarantine will continue and the PCR will be repeated on the 10th day from the last contact with the confirmed case. If it is negative, the quarantine will end and you will return to the school. If it tests positive, it becomes a confirmed asymptomatic case and initiates isolation for a minimum of 10 days with study of close contacts.
The Protocol also stipulates that PCR will also be indicated if at any time during the follow-up the student presents symptoms compatible with COVID. If it is positive, it will be considered a confirmed case with active infection and isolation will begin for 10 days with the study of close contacts. If it is negative, it will continue with the quarantine until the 10th day on which a new PCR will be performed.
