Russian Opposition leader Alexei Navalny’s condition continues to improve and he is now able to leave bed for a short time, the University of Berlin’s Charite clinic said on Monday.

“The patient has been successfully disconnected from the ventilator,” Charite said in a statement.
Navalni was removed from the artificial coma last week.
On August 20, Navalny was unconsciously taken to Omsk Hospital in Siberia on signs of poisoning, but two days later he was transferred from Russia to Germany, where he was treated by the Charite clinic at the University of Berlin.
On September 2, the German government announced incontrovertible evidence of poisoning of Navalny with a nerve-paralyzing warfare agent belonging to the Novičok group.
This conclusion was also confirmed on Monday by independent analyzes carried out by laboratories in France and Sweden.
