German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas rejects Russia’s accusations that Germany is delaying the investigation into Alexei Navalny’s poisoning. In a conversation with ARD, Maas said that Berlin had already agreed to provide legal assistance to Moscow in the investigation and has also informed the Russian ambassador.

Germany will “grant any form of approval to share information. (…) If Russia doesn’t help solve this case or puts up an even bigger smokescreen, that’s an additional sign that it has something to hide. ”
According to Maas, a possible response will be discussed at European level in the coming days. He gives Moscow a few more days to clarify things. However, the Kremlin denies that it has anything to do with the poisoning of President Vladimir Putin’s biggest opponent.
Navalny is in a hospital in Berlin and is still in a coma. According to the German government, he was poisoned in Russia by a neurotoxic product of the novichok type.
