“Nature Reserve Near Assen on Fire: Firefighters Battle Blaze in Paaskamp Reserve”

A fire is raging in a nature reserve near Assen. Tens of meters of nature are on fire.

The fire broke out just after midnight in the Paaskamp nature reserve. People in the area are advised to close windows and doors and to switch off mechanical ventilation.

Fire brigades have been called from the surrounding area to fight the fire. Firefighters install so-called stop lines. “In addition, they spray a strip of water, such as a walking path, so that the fire cannot spread,” says a spokesman.

It is not yet known how the fire started.
