Nature photographer Robert Ahrenhold, who goes by the stage name Shanti Lfe, was on Monday this week in Agger Tange – between the Limfjorden and the North Sea – to take pictures of hooded gulls.
When he got home and enlarged the pictures he had taken, he discovered something disturbing on the surface of the sea, writes Danish TV Midwest.
– I thought “what the fuck”, says Ahrenhold, who is originally from the USA, to the news channel.
Hands and feet
He further explains that the images showed both an arm and a toe with nails sticking out of the water.

At first, Ahrenhold believed that the grisly find was connected to drug cartels that smuggle cocaine in the North Sea.
He therefore showed the photos to the police, who arrived at the scene a short time later.

– Rescue operation
But it was neither a hooded gull nor a victim of drug trafficking lying bobbing in the sea. It was a doll.
This is confirmed by the local police in Thisted to TV Midtvest.
– We moved out and a minor rescue operation was launched. We could ascertain that it was a dock, says Henrik Jensen at the police, and informs us that the dock has now been destroyed.
The find probably originates from a boat that is capsized outside Agger Tange. According to the news channel, the boat should have been abandoned in autumn 2022.
