Lyme disease, or fever after a tick bite?
The majority of tick bites lead to happiness, not to the disease. And yet, every year, about 27,000 people have Lyme disease. It is often the only complaint is the red ring or spot on the skin. But for each of the years in which 1,500 people have much more serious symptoms. These include, for example, zenuwklachten, arthritis, or heart disease. The majority of people with Lyme disease break following a treatment with antibiotics. Every year, about 1,000 for up to 2,500 people, are more bothered by the symptoms.
