Naturally Rugby: A Multidisciplinary Exhibition at the Toulouse Museum in Celebration of the 2023 World Cup

To celebrate the 2023 World Cup, the Toulouse Museum is offering a new exhibition related to the oval ball until January 7, 204: Naturally rugby!

The pink city will celebrate Ovalie during the Rugby World Cup as the host city. We will be able to see matches at the Stadium, Japan has its quarters at the Stade Ernest Wallon and a large fan zone is installed at the Prairie des Filtres. Several places in Toulouse take the opportunity to offer initiatives around rugby such as the Toulouse Library or the Museum. The latter offers visitors an amazing and fun exhibition until January 7, 2024.

Naturally rugby

This exhibition aims to treat the Ovalie “from a multidisciplinary perspective and offers a historical, geographical, biological and societal point of view. Families, rugby enthusiasts and naturalists can learn more about rugby and its origins. With its know-how, the Museum traces the history of rugby, from its practice inspired by medieval games to its arrival in Toulouse. “We discover how the evolution of the practice of rugby accompanies, and sometimes precedes, the evolution of societies, from its codification during the industrial revolution, through its deployment in the colonial period to its professionalization in the sports business era. »

Inevitably, the Museum will also be interested in the most successful club: Stade Toulousain. The site promises us: “Through a surprising journey, discover the origins, diffusion and influence of rugby, through times and cultures”!
