Natural climate protection: practical tips and funding information

Locking buildings, unsealed areas, building close to nature: companies responsible for the protection of the natural climate can benefit from interesting financing opportunities. Those interested will find out how it works in two webinars in September.

If you want to give nature more space in your business space, you don’t have to dig as deep into your pocket as is often thought. The KfW development bank currently offers loans for unsealing, renovation, roof and facade locking, decentralized rainfall management, etc. with repayment subsidies of up to 60 percent.

The “Competence Center for Natural Climate Protection” (KNK) is now shedding light on what natural climate protection measures in company buildings and residential areas could look like and how can be promoted in two free online seminars:

• The topic will be discussed on September 4 from 9:15 am to 12 pm
  “Company buildings and residences should be designed and promoted in a natural way” (Connection),
• on September 18 from 9:15 a.m. to 12 p.m
  “Building sealing and natural rainwater infiltration” (Connection)
  on the program.

Using practical examples, experts offer insights on how to plan natural company sites or green buildings and what measures are possible for natural infiltration of rainwater. In addition, KfW provides… “KfW environmental program” the right financing opportunity.

The KNK is the organizer of the webinars. The Federal Ministry of the Environment established the competence center in autumn 2023 as a central contact point that provides information at the federal level on funding opportunities and all topics related to natural climate protection.

The project, based at DIHK Service GmbH and funded by the Federal Ministry of the Environment, also defines measures and events for the protection of the physical climate and nature. “Biological Diversity Company” (UBi).
