On 18 and 19 January, Brussels will host a meeting of the NATO Military Committee, which is the supreme military body of the alliance. About this today, January 2, reported on the NATO website.
The meeting will be attended by the chiefs of staff of the armed forces of 30 NATO countries, as well as colleagues from Sweden and Finland.
“NATO’s highest military body, the Military Committee, will meet in person on 18-19 January 2023 in Brussels”, – says the message.
The meeting will discuss “issues of strategic importance”. General secretary Jens Stoltenberg he will recall the bloc’s political goals, as well as talk about the security challenges facing NATO. A discussion on the conflict in Ukraine is also planned. Participants will discuss NATO’s military capabilities and its ability to defend itself against all challenges. Another topic of the meeting will be the support of Kiev.
