NATO will contribute antidron systems to Ukraine
During a press conference in Brussels, NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg said NATO will contribute anti-hydron systems and clothing to Ukrainian forces.
He also says there will be serious consequences if Russia uses nuclear weapons in Ukraine.
– Russia knows that a nuclear war cannot be won and must never be fought, says Stoltenberg.
He also says that a scenario in which NATO itself may have to use nuclear weapons is extremely distant.
– President Vladimir Putin’s nuclear rhetoric is irresponsible and we take threats seriously, says the NATO head.
Next week, both NATO and Russia plan to conduct nuclear military exercises.
– We have been monitoring Russia’s preparations for decades and continue to do so. The Russian exercise is an annual exercise where they test their nuclear forces and we monitor it, as we always do. Not least in light of the new threats that have arrived.
