NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg shares his views on the security of the Baltic States, Donald Trump and the alliance’s defense capabilities on the last day of his mandate

Stoltenberg welcomed the fact that the Trump administration supported the delivery of Javelin anti-tank weapons to Ukraine during his administration, and stressed that allies should do everything to ensure that US aid does not come to the end of Ukraine. “It is important that European alliances do not get involved in predictions, but work and do what they can to ensure that the United States continues to support Ukraine,” said the NATO leader. He said that all European countries “must make it very clear to the United States” that “peace cannot be achieved if Ukraine loses its independence and sovereignty.”
