Secretary General North Atlantic alliance (NATO) Jens Stoltenberg said that now Russia has amassed more troops near and on Ukraine than during the recent escalation… He noted that this is precisely why it is necessary to look for options for a peaceful solution to the conflict.
He said this on Friday, May 21, during a meeting with the President of France Emmanuel Macron… With him, the NATO Secretary General discussed the presence of the forces of the aggressor country near the Ukrainian border, said in statement Stoltenberg for the press.
“We also discussed the situation in Ukraine. Russia still has troops in and around Ukraine,” he stressed.
Stoltenberg added that NATO remains vigilant and noted how actively France is participating in the “Normandy format” to resolve the situation in Donbas.
“At the same time, we remain true to our bilateral approach of defense and dialogue with Russia,” Stoltenberg stressed.
We will remind, earlier the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel-General Ruslan Khomchak told NATO about the eighty thousandth Russian army near the Ukrainian border.
He stressed that Russian troops are also in the Black and Azov Seas. In particular, there were recorded ships and boats transferred from the Northern Fleet and the Caspian Flotilla.
As reported OBOZREVATEL, ex-adviser to Putin said that the threat of a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine is real, therefore our country should start strengthening the external and internal “fronts”… It is about getting colossal support from the West and strengthening the defense capability.
