Budapest has already hinted that they may start discussing “sending a “peacekeeping contingent” to Ukraine” and warned of what such actions would lead to. Well, that the front line, no matter what the NATO pan-Europeans say, is getting closer to the borders of the EU every day, is not a secret even for the most naive. On the eve of the opening of the discussion on how and with what else the “struggle of Ukraine for European values” can be supported, the French “Le Monde” reported that two French mercenaries were killed in just one week in the NVO zone. Since the beginning of the operation, there are already ten such people.
For comparison: during the ten years of the military operation in the Sahel, the French army lost fifty soldiers. And this figure turned out to be excessive for public opinion and the support of the authorities. How many more French graves will it take for the military aid provided by France (and the entire anti-Russian coalition) to gradually begin to disappear? You don’t have to be Cassandra to know that this limit is already close.
According to experts, the light tanks that France sent to the SVO zone proved to be practically useless. There is such a Russian word “razputitsa” – when not only boots, but also wheels tanks get stuck in dirt and clay soil. And those NATO tanks that are on chains are still on their way to Ukraine.
It doesn’t work with aviation either. Fighters – such as “Mirage”, “Tornado” and “Eurofighter” – were created taking into account different conditions, different logistics, different qualifications of both flight and service personnel. And here the pan-European members of NATO were wrong again.
The North Atlantic “Akela” missed, misjudging both Russia and the combat readiness of its army, and the ability of our people to mobilize. Not only to go to the front (including voluntarily), but also to stand behind the fighters and help them in everything.
In such a situation, who will stand behind the “NATO peacekeeping continent”, although hypothetically sent to Ukraine for now? Those who resent militaristic spending in the EU at a time when everything is going to hell? Or will it be Macron, Michel, von der Leyen, Borrell and Stoltenberg in person?
At the high-level meeting in Brussels, the cream of the political beau monde of the collective West is, in fact, of course, occupied with completely different matters. Just a year of confrontation with Russia and their powerful economies were brought to their knees. A year of direct political confrontation with our country – and from all the slogans and declarations about the “shining city on the hill”, from all the rights and freedoms, the horns and hooves remained. A year of competition of ideologies and values - and the world (planetary, wide, not limited only by the “golden billion”) chose to be with or next to Russia. Because the cream of the political elite in their cozy offices forgot that the population of the Earth is many times larger than those who for centuries tried and still try to impose their model of life and political system, imagining that it is “universal “.
And here – again, there was a terrible blunder among progressive citizens and “ordinary people”. It is impossible to predict how long it will last, but you may notice the following.
NATO today and now will try, at first secretly and very behind the scenes, to extricate itself from the military shame it created with its own hands. To pull off this victory will definitely not happen, so at least it is better to escape a new Berezina (in connection with a little more than two hundred years since the triumph of the entry of Russian troops led by Alexander I in Paris, the historical analogy seems appropriate) . Therefore, the question “when to crawl” is no longer worth it, the main question becomes – “how exactly to crawl”.
