The United States and its NATO allies conducted a large-scale mission in the skies over the Alliance member countries. This is stated in the plot CNN, unveiled on Wednesday, June 2.
“The United States and its allies have participated in a large-scale NATO mission involving more than 20 NATO countries, flying over NATO member countries in exercises designed to partially send a message to Russian President Vladimir Putin,” the channel said.
It is indicated that the exercises are being held several weeks before the meeting between US President Joe Biden and Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
In turn, the Royal Air Force of Great Britain reportthat the flights of combat aircraft passed over the territory of all European NATO members. In particular, the Americans sent B-52 Stratofortress strategic bombers to these exercises.
It was previously reported that the meeting between Putin and Biden will take place June 16 in Geneva. At the same time, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine claimed that Joe Biden will hold talks with President Volodymyr Zelensky before meeting with Putin.
