Berlin / Munich In North Rhine-Westphalia the holidays are coming to an end, in other parts of Germany, however, many people are only just starting their holidays. Two reasons for full streets on weekends. Where can it get tight?
Summer holidays that are still going on and are coming to an end will ensure a lot of traffic on the motorways this coming weekend (August 13th to 15th). In addition, the forecast good weather should bring quite a few day trippers onto the streets.

The car clubs ADAC and Auto Club Europa (ACE) are also warning of obstructions and closures after the severe storms in North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate.

In general, the hours between 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Friday are particularly at risk of congestion. On Saturday, the critical time is between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. On Sunday it can get full, especially from 2 p.m., which also affects the routes into the metropolitan areas.

The ADAC expects that the biggest rush is over on the highways to the south and towards the coast. Delays are still possible. On the other hand, there is still a greater risk of congestion on access roads to the excursion areas, including above all the mountain and lake landscapes in Bavaria.

In addition to the greater Rhine-Ruhr, Rhine-Main, Hamburg, Munich and Stuttgart areas as well as on the highways to and from the North Sea and Baltic Sea, the clubs expect traffic jams on the following routes, usually in both directions:
