ARD and ZDF will broadcast all six Nations League group matches of the German national soccer team in autumn 2020.
The teams on which the German team will meet will be drawn on March 3rd in Amsterdam.
Instead of four games to date, the teams will play six group games each time the rules are changed. This eliminates two dates for friendly matches that RTL would otherwise have shown. In return, since ARD and ZDF will take over the two additional Nations League games, RTL will receive the broadcasting rights for the test international matches against Spain on March 26 in Madrid and on March 31 against Italy in Nuremberg. The broadcaster had announced this on Wednesday.
As planned, RTL can show the preparatory games of the DFB team before the start of the European Championship against Switzerland on May 31 and against an opponent to be named on June 8 in Sinsheim. The European Championship from June 12th to July 12th runs entirely on ARD and ZDF.
